No black thumb - just squirrels! There's nothing like vibrant daffodils to awaken us in the spring. I'm glad you're enjoying yours! Have a great weekend!

As I reported I lost bulbs this year. But I love daffs, lilacs, lily of the valley, and peonies. All that don't grow here. :-( Thanks for sharing yours!

It's really hard to know how newly planted bulb flowers will turn out. Nice thing is once established they usually keep going. So YAY! You got your first, but not last, crop of daffs! For some reason my yard is the last to bloom. The neighbors' bulb flowers have been and gone before the majority of mine even open. Weird. But it does mean I have flowers late into spring. Congrats on your blooms. ~LA

How come you have your daffodils up already? Ah well, there are some early spring flowers up and the daffs will be up soon... They really are lovely, aren't they...

I know what you mean, our bulb flowers are the last to bloom too. Paul says that if they are closer to the house, they get more warmth from the house and bloom faster. We've seen some on our walk next to a house that are fully tall and blooming, but our daff bulbs are only a few inches out of the ground so far, but they are way out front by the street and away from the house... don't know if that's true, but it made a little sense.. We forgot to add new bulbs to our garden last fall, darn it all. I'm loving the forsythia blooming now too...that bright yellow really helps to lift an otherwise soggy mood.

Daffodils, then comes Forsythia and if one is not cheerful from the sight - - - there is little hope for them.

I was worried when my daffodils poked through the ground back in Janaury when it was unusually warm. However, I am very pleased that they are now almost all blooming and they have spread so I have double the daffodils I had last year. Nothing like daffodils to let you know that spring has arrived!

I have a few that come back every year and we do not know who really planted them or when. But they are very nice to see and always make me smile. One problem, I am alergic to them so I have to view from a distance and not bring them inside.
