Count me as one who would ALSO like to see you painfree in the near future, Steph. It breaks my heart to hear what you are going thru. I used to get really bad neck and shoulder spasms and pain so that I could hardly move at all, even riding in my husband's truck going to the out-patient clinic was put torture. I don't know what caused them but I only had them (quite often too) while I was working at my former job where I was quite miserable a lot of the time...when I changed jobs about 6 years ago...I haven't had one episode of it, even though I sit and type for hours ad nauseum.. I don't have an answer...but I wish someone would give YOU an answer and relief!

How odd! I'm hopscotching my way through the Dark Tower books again and just started 'The Wolves of Calla'. This will be the 5th time through. King is soothing to my spirit. Wish he were soothing to frayed synapses and tangled muscles. Wouldn't that be wonderful? If we could read our way out of pain? No hugs for you, my ouchie miss, instead here's an air kiss. Mwah!~LA

"How much do you want to bet that the 24th will be one of my rare symptom free days?" The secret then might be to schedule a nerve conduction test for every day but I suppose that would get rather tiresome in itself and the insurance bean counters probably wouldn't think much of it either. I do hope they can figure out some way of easing your pain.

Definitely tell your massage therapist to start slowly and lightly! Then, if it feels right to you, she/he can increase the pressure. In fact, there's a massage technique called still touch, which is just what it sounds like, that is remarkably effective. I'm hoping you get some relief soon, sweety. (And I loved the last three books of the King series -- do let me know how you like the last one!)

I have no advice for your pain, but I would definitely let someone else do all the wrok for Easter dinner if I felt that abd. I too get way too stressed out when I',m having company, as we are now that my in-laws are in town with us for a few days. My husand always wants to throw parties and I cringe because I know I'm going to be the one doing all the work

as a fellow chronic-pain sufferer i empathize with what you are going through! it's so hard when on the outside the body still looks fine but on the inside it's just screaming with pain. do you go to a pain management clinic? mine has literally saved my life. sending you very gentle hugs and hoping you have a day as pain free as possible! ~zen

I don't even try to get a massage anymore, because they always hurt and/or cripple me. My pain is probably about like yours today, because I can't take my Diclofenac til after my nerve scrambling tomorrow. I took a Vicodin. The hell with it. I got the package you sent me -- thanks tons! Very cool.
