Oh, I'm so glad! Props to the other girl, too, for moving.

A size 8 is something to be very proud of, what I wouldn't give to be 20 lbs lighter myself. Good for Rebecca. She looked smashing in her dress, and I'm glad it worked out ok in the end. Maybe the two ladies should just have powwowed together and each put on some different but striking accessory to the dress, so they would appear different, but that's more like something that would happen in a movie, isn't it? Like I said before, it may have been painful at the time, but it will go into Rebecca's memory diary for future re-tellings to a loved one or two!

I posted this over at Carol's comments, but I didn't get around to coming back to you -- our receptionist, Blinky (can't stand the woman, drives me nuts, drives everyone nuts, completely incompetent), wears a lot of striped tees. I put all my fave striped tees in the play clothes section of my closet. I sure don't want to be confused with her. Dang.

Amanda was very thin in high school but she wasn't making a fashion statement, it was because of health reasons. Her dress was a size 3. After a year at college & better health, she returned to get her dress for her college formal. She couldn't get into it! She probably wears an 8 now & is very content with her weight. Amanda loved that gown, she could have borrowed Becca's!

I remember way back when -- when women were very woman shaped and were proud of it. It actually makes me sick to see the pictures of the fashion models, and has for years. They look as if they are terminal anorexics, all of them. Your daughter is an exceptional beauty and even if a few pounds find their way back - - - - she will still be an outstanding young lady, beautiful to the max. It seems from the pictures that much of her beauty shines from the inside to enhance her external luminance.
