Sounds like you had a good time for the most part. It's always good to get away, isn't it?

Ah, you look beautiful! And remember -- a bad day at the beach is still better than the best day at work!

Ditto what Mary said. You look fab! When Wolf and I have our place at the beach next-next summer you can come down and hang with us. No guarantees about the weather, but the drinks will be cheap and in your mouth, not on your lap! ~LA

Pictures gorgeous and boy those rocks! I wouldn't have been bringing any of those home. :-) Why didn't you approach the manager about that lousy service? Can't believe you would be so 'meek'. *bg*

I live right next to the ocean (well about 1 mile inland) and Paul works on the ocean every day... I feel guilty that I don't go down to it and enjoy it more, knowing there are so many people who yearn for it. When I lived in Wash.D.C. and then in Indiana, I yearned for the ocean tremendously. Once I moved back here to the North Shore of Boston, I vowed I would never live farther than a mile or two from that beautiful ocean again. Glad you had that time there, and I hope that restaurant does the right thing when you write to them... I wrote to my GE dealer about bad service fixing my stove, and they refunded me $120! The squeaky wheel... Bex

Beautiful pictures! I'm sorry you had such appalling service at that restaurant. Your meals should have been comped, nevermind a mere "free drink"! At least it's good to see you smiling. It's always good to see that. :)

Great pic of you; truly vacation does a body good! I love the Atlantic coast, the haze, the greyness of the sea, and the beach roses. As much as I enjoy Hawaii's blue green seas and okay, stunning beaches, I am an East Coast girl, and that, on some level, in my mind, is what the beach is *supposed* to look like! Call me ingrate, call me homegirl, or whatever, but those mid-atlantic beaches are what it's all about for me.

Drive all the way to Westerly? My goodness, woman, that's all the way across the state from where I live. Why that must be at least fifteen or even twenty miles! (We look at distance differently here in Rhode Island. *grin*) Actually, I hope to get over to beautiful Wilcox Park in Westerly (designed by Warren H. Manning, a former associate of Frederick Law Olmsted, the great 19th century landscape architect who was the designer of Central Park) either this week or next for the annual Shakespeare-in-the-park. This year it is Romeo & Juliet.
