Yay! I'm so glad you're having a great time. A mannequin made of tampons...how -- absorbent!

How fun! I saw 'Beauty and the the Beast' with Andrea McCardle (the original 'Annie') as Belle and was entranced with the whole stage production. I've been wondering about the thing at the Met. The Times was very harsh in its assessment. The thing that got me was the critic whining about how it was all 'too arty'. Like, duh. Basically the critic's beef was the overall punk influence and the displays' lack of info. Obviously you were fetched with the arty punk, did you feel the info about the displays was adequate? ~LA

Wow! I'm so envious! I've always wanted to go to New York City! It's nice that you're having a good time, though. You deserve it!

It does sound as if you are enjoying a bit of summer vacation -- R.I. coast, NY City, floating in a swimming pool -- a bit of this, a bit of that...

sorry about the delayed response, you know what has me up in arms & so detained. i havent been able to comment until now, what with the going-ons, but i did want to say what a bummer about the daughters car. i also wanted to let you know that im pleased to hear that you had such a lovely & interesting excursion. its nice to see somebody having some fun, lol. im not into museums, the ones around here have dead buffalo & no doubt petrified buffalo nuggets, hence the lack of enthuisiasm for paying a visit to any in this area. the one in your neck of the woods sounds more like my cup of tea, i would love giving the once or twice over at all that funky stuff, cool ! i liked punk, still do. adam ant was pretty sexy, imho. he wound up in a mental institution. i coulda swore that was him there, roflmao. seriously, he did. wonder where the ants disappeared to, my porch ? oy.
