I'm going to be no help at all, because I like both styles equally well. Sorry!

Well, I've been having that same conversation with myself lately too! cut it? or not? It took me a long time to grow out layers to all one length, now my hair is down to about my shoulder tops, all one length, and cutting it would just kill me, however, I'm hating it in the hot weather and a shorter length would be so much easier... Personally, I like your hair with the shorter version... you've got nice thick hair, Steph, and it holds body well. Mine is baby fine and if I cut it, I look like a pinhead... but I love the shorter version you gave us.. if that matters to you! Bex

I have the opposite problem, mine in short and I am thinking of growing it out. I need a haircut now but keep putting it off in case I decide to grow it out again. What to do? I am no help either because I like yours both ways.

If you're not determined to cut it off then don't. That's always been my policy. Saved me some major grief. All my radical chop jobs were what I wanted 100%. Get a hefty trim so the longest part is a nice even line. That'll tame the frizzies a bit. (I'm channeling Z, my hairdresser, right now.) If you're going to use the flat iron every day the new-ish heat activated products work really well. Conditioner and styling junk both. If you're not using that stuff already. I forget you have daughters. Here in Man Land there's nobody to swap products and advice with so I end up with a lot of partially-used stuff. A guy visiting Mike used my bathroom and when he came out he gasped, "ALL THAT for ONE woman? I have to go home kiss my wife." He's a jerk, but it's true, my bathroom is product hell or heaven, depending on your view. Good luck with your hair dilemma. ~LA

hair's hair, that's my opinion. as long as it's nothing drastic, you'll be fine. i really think you took a good pic in the second photo ! what a lil' cutie. :-)

You look good with both long and short, but I've always liked long hair better. I blame this on my mother who insisted on keeping my hair very short when I was young.

I'm not usually a fan of short hair - but if you made me choose, I think I like shorter on you. (Love your choice of music - freak flag, indeed - one of my CSN favortes!)

I'm no help either..I love them both. Mine is actually shorter than I usually do right now..and I've taken to throwing on a headband when it gets on my nerves...but I liked being able to pull it up when it was a little longer. Soooooooo...whichever is easier for you to maintain would be my choice!! :-) Andddddd..belated happy birthday to you!!! I have been so bad about keeping up with things online lately. Real life just seems to have taken over..what gives???????

Oh cast fate to the wind and go with an upbeat short do. :-) On second thought this from a TX gal who loves the ease of short hair. Which reminds me I need to make an appt.

I can make no real comment. At one time I had a full beard, handlebar mustache and hair down to my shoulders. Of course the men I worked with had similar styles too. Twenty years ago it was, perhaps more. I still fuss with Heather about getting a hair cut. I keep telling her, "Okay, I'll get a hair cut, which one do you want cut ?"

I almost cut my hair Thursday, but the daycare called and said Roo was puking and to come and get him. I'll cut it Tuesday, though, because the longer it takes to blowdry it, the later I am for work. For me it comes down to this: hair? sleep? I pick sleep.

What is it with hair? I've been thinking I'd like to cut mine a mite shorter (mines down below my butt) but Michael would have a heart attack. I say keep the hair.

Your hair looks very sexy like that and I like the longer length. I use a flat iron and it gets tedious to use but I just hate my hair, it never curls or waves the way I want it to.
