How weird nothing was in the paper. Can the paper tell you why not? Perhaps the authorities don't think he drowned and suspect some other reason for him missing. Ask for a supervisor.

It's unconscionable that the authorities have not kept in touch with you. Keep after them, if you can. I'm hugging you.

Da nada. Wish it could have been more helpful. We'll find Mark. Lazy disorganized cops or not. ~LA

Even though the eventual news might be dire at least it will give you the closure you will need. I do hope he is alive and well somewhere.

I never understand the thinking of police departments. Have you posted flyers? I don't know if that would help or not but it might help get the word out faster. My thoughts are still with you and your family.

Hugs to you Stephanie. The audacity of city officials to take their time in searching for your brother.

From experience, I know that unless you are on them, the authorities don't always keep you in the loop. I think sometimes it is because they have nothing to say really and don't know how to tell you that without hurting you even more..which doesn't happen, it mostly makes it worse (the not knowing). I'm not saying that this is what they are doing..they could be the Keystone Cops and sitting on their hands. I just know that in my friend's case, the authorities had a hard time telling them that they had gone from "search and rescue" to "recovery". And don't beat yourself up for hoping....keeping the hope is what everyone does...it is not being silly or crazy...it is love. You always hope that he will turn up OK unless you hear otherwise. You are still in my prayers...and I just answered your email..I'm sorry I didn't see it sooner. {{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}
