Sounds like some men, reminding a mother of what is precious to her.

I'm glad your ex got it! And I hope that the Sheriff's office has Mark's things.

I certainly hope that someone has Mark's things--I hate that they didn't mention where the items were held, but assumed that you did know.

I am glad he finally got it too. Hopefully someone placed Mark's things in a secure spot and can make sure you get them. They should know that family members are too distraught to think of those things at that time and you'd think someone else would have contacted you in a week or so to remind you of them so that you could make arrangements to pick them up.

Just curious - does the ex read this journal? Know about it? I'm guessing he knows about it but doesn't read it. I'm amazed at his email to you - wonders never cease!

Why don't you delegate that job of findings his things to another member of the family, like his fiancee for instance, or your sister? I don't see why you have to do it all... when you have so many other family members around. Just a suggestion. You DO have a lot on your plate at the moment!

Go to amazon.com and look at this book, To To Heal Again: Towards Serenity and the Resolution of Grief by Rusty Berkus. My friend lost her business partner and best friend - this book helped her - it telly you that grief has no time limit. She says it's a very simple book, but very soothing. I hope this might help.

Stefani - actually, The Ex is not aware of this journal. Daniel and my sister, Patti, are the only people from my personal life who know about it. Bex, the reason I'm the one tracking down Mark's personal belongings is because I get out of work at 2:00, while my siblings work until much later. Therefore, I am able to make these calls during hours when offices are open. Joan, thanks for the recommendation. I'll look into it.

By here I'm sure she meant her department.

Maybe so, but, since she was calling from the hospital, so she should have been more specific.
