Go with the lawyer. You have a legit issue to deal with and, as LA pointed out, you are not out to screw anyone. It may help to know that a doctor or hospital will have to wait until the issue is resolved once you have a worker's comp case number. Legally the docs would have to file claims with the WC carrier and wait. I say this as one who knows from working in medical facilities.
