Damn that "other" Joan for being such a bitch to you and your family. Well, that's it - she's out of the Joan Club! (her name probably isn't even Joan - it's probably Joanne.)

I could feel my own blood pressure going up as I read what happened to your sister. It's too bad it wasn't you, because you could have put Joan in her place and felt good about it. Some people need to be reminded how to treat people. Grrr.

I swear I signed that petition at least two years ago.

What an infuriating story. Joan doesn't belong in a job that requires she deal with people. I hope your letter does it's job. Sounds like the day with the boys was good medicine in many ways.

Ah, so much to rant about, and so little space. Wait...whaa? I should NOT be surprised, after hearing about the 48 hour waiting period after giving birth, but damn! Well, all right, chop off the poor woman's breast and shove her out the door without waiting to see if there are any complications, infections, emotional distress, etc.? I'm not EVEN going to get started on the Joan thing, 'cause if I were your sister (at another time in her life--I can't imagine that she'd want to tussle with a thrift store worker now), I'd have gotten all ig'nant Maury-style. Usually, I try to give the worker the benefit of the doubt--they may be having a bad day, etc. And the divorce thing--yes, I know it's easy for me to say this since I have no children, but damn! I'd have fewer problems "giving" them to their father, if that's the way they're going to act TOWARDS. THEIR. MOTHER! Come on, they shouldn't be acting that way towards either of their parents, but to favor one over the other? Let's just say karma (or Chuck Norris) will kick them in the ass for this. Wow, this has all been a rant with no mention of how good it was that you got a day out. I guess you and your sister both need Lionel Hutz, or maybe Jackie Childs. ;-) "They were real, and they're magnificent!"

Petition signed. You are having a heck of a time keeping all your plates spinning, my sympathy to you and for your sister too. RYC Thanks for coming by with your views on the news.

It just amazes me how people treat others in a "helping" service, even in a thrift shop. like you I would have told that Joan where she could stuff that sweater and definitely write a letter of complaint over her actions. I'm sure it will make a difference with that letter of complaint in her personnell file.
