Good for your lawyer! Now -- breathe.

What drama! How are you supposed to slam the door with your bad back!? You better train those dogs of yours. I'm glad your attorney was 100% clear - makes it easier for you to resist. So yeah, what Mary said - breathe!

WC set up a camera across the road and filmed a friend's comings and goings while he was off waiting for his third back surgery. They are ruthless.

Wow, good thing you are on your toes, if not literally, and remembered what the lawyer said. I'm sure they'd like nothing more than to be in your house watching you move, or worse, going to your yoga class. Is that approved by your Dr.? You might not want to let them know you are doing that, even if it's "gentle yoga" they might make it sound differently in a report. Just a thought, I am not experienced with any of this.

Yes, Pam, I have my doctor's permission to go to yoga, provided it is a "gentle" class, which it is. Thank you and everyone else for the concern, advice and support. It is greatly appreciated!

Yikes! This is scary. I guess the yoga is a good way of maintaining breath through this hairy process. Hang in there.

Breathe, rest, drop a vicodin or two and put your trust in your lawyer. Do exactly what they said and nothing else. Sorry about your headache, baby, but know I'm damn proud of you! Mwah! ~LA

I was wondering when they'd start their dealings--they probably have a camera set up on you. Damn shame--cheaters make it hard on everyone else.

I'm SO GLAD that you have the lawyer! My father was a policeman and hurt hs back while on duty. WC set up a van across the street from his house. Of course, being a policeman, he spotted it right away. He walked over to the van, pulled out his police gun and suggested they go watch someone else. They never came back! I'm sure you won't have to resort to using a pistol, but I can ask him if he still has it :)

How sad is it that in this day and age, we have been programmed to trust NO ONE? Lawyers say don't talk to WC, WC probably doesn't want to deal with the lawyers (well really, who does?) and while you just need the proper rest and health care to get well, WC's first priority is to try and prove you're faking your injury? GAH! To be fair, not all WC Insurance Companies follow that practice. The ones I've dealt with have been very fair (course I wasn't the injured party either). I'm just starting to try Yoga - I got a DVD for beginners, and can't do 90% of it yet, but I'm getting there!

Yellow! I think many persons assume they are legally obligated to answer any questions asked by government entities and/or that these entities have no agenda other than a fair distribution of benefits. Unhappily, this is not the case. Happily you know of it. Good for you! Eva (I see everyone here has already said as much, but you know how I am. Hee.)

Your title for this entry cracked me up--it's one of my favorite lines to quote. :) It must be hard not to fill out questionnaires and answer questions, despite your lawyer's advice; I'm sure I would think "But wouldn't doing this get things moving sooner?" Natural reaction, I think--but stay firm!
