Your doctor was very well informed. It does not say where you live but there are not to many states in the US that are following this protocol. I have been dry needling now for over a year now with (to me) amazing results. Now not all respond with the same immediate release, but many have significant improvement with only 2 or three treatments. I am so glad I added this to my treatment arsenal. Thank you for your post. It is nice to have the positive feedback. Steve Marcum PT Kentucky

That is great news. He osunds like my kids Dr. who always takes the time to listen. The dry needling, it sounds like accupuncture, no? Hm, hope it helps.

Never heard of a Physiatrist before. Sounds like you might have a new best friend! And I have to say trampolines scare me a little bit. I can understand why they'd be fun but I was very happy now to see they make sidewall nets for them now.

Sounds as if you have finally found a real doctor, one who takes time and asks questions and listens and explains... I have the same qualms as Stefani regarding that trampoline... but I also understand that all of our young adult offspring view themselves as being immortal and impervious to harm.

Just a word of warning about the trampoline. They are very dangerous if you have any back problems - or they can actually cause back problems - putting extra stress on the spinal cord and muscles surrounding it. I learned that the hard way. I was jumping on them at 14 and one morning woke up and fell down and couldn't move for 2 weeks. Turned out I have an extra lumbar vertebra in my back and this jumping really injured it more. Ever since then, I've had a very bad back problem and I blame it all on those darn trampolines! So beware, please! They are fun, but they can be dangerous.

Hope you can hang onto that doctor, the one we had and loved up and retired on us. Hope the dry needling helps.
