I think all your projects are lovely. I'd be interested to know how you plan to finish off the "bath mat" - putting rubber backing on it so it won't slide? The furry flipflops are too cool for words, Steph. I wish I had some free time myself to get back into some kind of craft, but it's just not in the cards - probably not until I retire! I can't wait for that day!

I really admire people who can knit! I'm all thumbs when it come to that. And a very happy birthday to Daniel! (Please give LA a bear hug from me when you see her.)

I love your knitting. I knitted so much all winter that I am taking a break. Do you know where I can get the pattern for the flipflops? Too cool. Happy Birthday to Daniel.

You make knitting sound so easy and fun, Stephanie! Hurray for younger husbands --even though Travis is a mere 8 years younger than I am. :)

You bet your furry knitting fingers, knitters have a ton of multiple knitting projects going. Have you tried doing cables in your scarves yet? They add a dimension. My cable pattern is at work, so I will try and remember to bring it home so I can write it out for you. The cable stitch was one of the knitting patterns I learned after the basics. =^..^=

Thanks for the kind words, everybody! Bex - no backing is required for the bathmat. It's knit with two strands of cotton, so it's pretty thick and sturdy... I didn't think about slippage, and hope that won't be a problem. The bathmat I'm currently using doesn't have any kind of backing (it's made of a sort of "rag" fabric)), and it stays pretty much in place, so I'm hoping the same will be true of the knitted mat. Mary, your hug will be delivered with great pleasure! Carol, I sent you an email about the furry flip flop patterns. Sasha, hurray for us older women with younger husbands! catsoul - I haven't tried a cable yet, although I did get a cable needle and printed a couple of patterns from the lion brand website... Thanks for offering to share your pattern with me!

I've never been very good at keeping it to one project. I always have a sock on the needles, and usually 2-3 other things as well. Right now I've got a sweater that is on the back burner because I'm stuck on the collar, an easy stole that's getting too big to haul around, and a dishcloth. I like your projects! The slippers are adorable. What are you using to knit the bathmat?
